ABOUT

Megan Sickles was born in southwestern Pennsylvania and holds a MS in Interior Architecture & Design from Drexel University. She currently lives and works outside of Philadelphia in southern New Jersey. She has always loved drawing and painting and this passion has only deepened with time. When she isn’t working in her home studio, she is spending time with her family, reading, or running.

Her work is primarily autobiographical documentation and an opportunity to capture and synthesize fleeting thoughts, memories, feelings, and experiences. She is interested in the concept of anticipatory nostalgia both within and beyond the boundaries of her home life. While she enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums, her current favorites are graphite & acrylic.
